Direction or Courage

I heard my husband say this to someone not too long ago and it stuck with me.  I thought that while we’re all thinking about New Years resolutions, I’d throw it out at you:

We spend all our time praying for direction, when what we really need is courage.

I heard this and I realized that the courage I need is the courage to be right now the person I was created to be.  The courage to agree with “the gift” the Father says I am, to live out my dreams and to give myself the freedom to change, to embrace each season of my life for what it is and enjoy it to its fullest. Not a bad challenge, eh?

If you were going to act on the dreams you already have in courage, what would you do? How would it change things?

  • Great words and challenge. Now here is my challenge for you dear one.

Let’s see if you will break away from mommyhood and responsibilities to …well here is the deal. You know that retreat I have mentioned to you in Glenwood Springs at the Hotel Colorado? Well I don’t know about getting the money together for you to sing, I am asking God for a miracle. Even if that doesn’t happen, I would like to pay for you to come and join some amazing, authentic women for a weekend of fun, good teaching, and relaxation. You don’t have to do anything but enjoy yourself. Let me know if you want to bring a friend and we will work out a deal so they can attend for a very discounted rate. Let me know what you think the weekend is April 30, May 1st and 2nd.

    Because of Jesus,

  • Well, Linda, I’d love to talk more about that. I’m very open to singing…let’s get in touch and talk about the calendar and the details. Can you send me your contact information? I know you put your email in, but I can’t see exactly what it is. Thanks for the invite :)
